He was owner and operator of Higdon Heating and Air in New Washington and a United States Air Force Veteran. Jim enjoyed going to air shows in Dayton and Cleveland, working and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Melanie Ross Higdon; son, Greg Higdon (Kim) of Hanover, IN and his daughter Sheila Speigelhalder of Charlestown, IN; brother, William Higdon of Louisville, KY; sisters, Nell Clark of California, Linda Bradley of Rhineyville, KY, Shirley Baumann of Jeffersonville, Rose Henry of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, James Speigelhalder, Cassey Higdon, Grace Nix and Sean Speigelhalder and a great grandson Tobias Nix.
Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday June 9, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 9:00 am on Thursday.
