THE FUNERAL YESTERDAY. -- The body of young William Capers Pearce was yesterday interred in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Quite a number of persons were in the procession, and the occasion was marked with great solemnity.

Mr. Pearce was a young man of whom many can speak in high terms of praise, and one who leaves many dear friends to meditate over pleasant hours spent in his entertaining society.

He came home a few weeks ago from school to spend his vacation here and up to his illness, about the first of last week, was apparently in the best of health.
