Beistel, Eric L., 73, passed away on June 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Theresa Seay Beistel. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Leach; and his nieces, Bethany and Lynnsey. Eric retired as a master police officer after 32 years with the City of Richmond Police Department. He was an active member with Fraternal Order of Police and also the Richmond Retired Police Officers Association. Eric attained the rank of Major in the United States Army Reserves from which he retired after 22 years. He thoroughly enjoyed Disney World where he visited many, many times with his wife and developed a tremendous amount of memories. The services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
