Services will be Tuesday for Roy A. Annis, a native Californian, who died Saturday in a Watsonville hospital. He was 89.

He was born in Berkeley and had lived most of his life in Santa Cruz County. He had been employed for many years as an escrow officer for Penniman Title Co. in Santa Cruz. He was a member of Soquel Lodge 746 F&AM; Islam Temple of San Francisco; Watsonville Shrine Club; Order of the Eastern Star, Lily of the Valley Chapter of Watsonville and he was a red cap with the San Jose Scottish Rite Bodies.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Annis of Watsonville; a son, Robert Annis of Nevada; a stepson, James Covington of Watsonville; and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Davis Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville, with Soquel Lodge 746 F&AM and Order of the Eastern Star officiating. Burial will be at the Pioneer Watsonville Cemetery. Contributions are preferred to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in San Francisco.
