Julia A. Bohn, 91, Fertile, MN., died Saturday, January 1, 2005, in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.

Julia Alvina Roe was born December 7, 1913, in Sundal Township, Norman County, MN., the daughter of John and Randine (Erstad) Roe. She was raised in Sundahl Township and graduated from Fertile High School in 1933.

Julia married Joseph Steenerson, on November 26, 1934, in Crookston, MN. They lived in Fertile, until moving to Grand Forks, in 1943. Julia was employed with S & L Department Store for 18 years. Joseph Steenerson died November 8, 1961.

Julia married Albert Bohn, on June 26, 1963, in Grand Forks. They lived in Grand Forks. Albert Bohn, died October 24, 1996.

Julia moved to Fair Meadow Nursing Home, of Fertile, MN., on December 14, 2001. Julia enjoyed the Prayer and Share group and Friday Fellowship at United Lutheran Church, of Grand Forks. She also enjoyed travel and loved playing cards.

Survivors include: Daughter, Joan (Morris) Fering, East Grand Forks, MN.; son, James (Joan) Steenerson, Plano, TX.; grandchildren: Julie Steenerson, Minneapolis, MN., Jennifer (Jeremy) Lang, Sartell, MN., and Jeremy Steenerson, Plano, TX.; granddaughter-in-law, Patricia Fering, Eagan, MN.; great grandchildren: Melissa (Ryan) Fering Koepp, Woodbury, MN., David Fering, Eagan, MN., Piper Lang and Larkin Lang, both of Sartell, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerome; grandson, Randall Fering; brothers: Clarence, Rudolph and Leonard; and by sisters: Hattie, Bertha, and an infant sister.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2005, in United Lutheran Church, of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for one hour before the services, in the church. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery of Fertile, MN. Arrangements are with Amundson Funeral Home, of Grand Forks, ND.
