Lyman Emmett Desso was born Jan. 25th, 1929 in Essex Jct.,, Vt to Louis Desso and Ida (Devino) Desso. He died May 6, 2018 while living in Brooksville, Florida. He was married to first wife Roseanna Labelle Jan. 25th 1949 in Jericho, VT. He had his six children with her in Vermont. They divorced July 15, 1975. He then married Eldora Maxine Leedom on Oct. 10, 1975 in Colchester, VT. They divorced 12/22/1998 in Hernando, Fl.
Ike married Shirley May Bennett Mitchell on March 22, 2001 in Vernon, Tolland, CT. She died Dec. 17, 2013 in Brooksville, FL and is buried by his side in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
He was predeceased by the following brothers and sisters: Harold, Eunice, Dorothy, Wilfred, Roma, Lillian, Gladys, Carrie, Doris, and Velma.
Ike served in the U.S. Army (Korean Veteran) and belonged to many organizations including Shriners, Mason, American Legion Post 197 of Marlborough, MA, VFW of East Hampton, Moose Lodge of Marlborough, MA, and the Marlborough Volunteer Fire Dept.
Ike retired to Florida and drove to Connecticut each summer in his Coach. He enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes. Private services with military honors will be at the State Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
