She was born on May 28, 1957 in Peoria to Ernest Dale and Anneliese "Ann" (Baier) Claton.
Surviving are her father and step-mother, Dale and Linda Claton of Pekin; mother and step-father, Ann and Wallace Gent of Pekin; two daughters, Jessica A. Baker of Manito and Monica P. Hamby of Pekin; one son, Michael L. (Jamie) Hamby of Quincy; and one brother, Robert D. "Bob" (Lisa) Claton of Springfield.
Her grandparents and one bother, Stephen Claton, preceded her in death.
Debbie worked for Archer Daniels Midland in Havana for 17 years, last working in February 2007 as a grain inspector.
Debbie enjoyed bottle collecting and arrowhead hunting.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
