After a long and fulfilling life, Evylene Bolinger Ince passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022 in Houston, Texas at the age of 94. She was the second of eight children of Ted and Jewel Bolinger, and was born on August 29, 1927 on the family farm near Murphy, Oklahoma. Evylene was an accomplished seamstress and made many beautiful dresses for herself and her daughter. She was very creative and loved making Christmas decorations. Her needlepoint stockings, complete Christmas villages made of plastic canvas buildings, tree decorations, and latch hook rugs were enjoyed by many. She always had a project she was working on while she was watching TV.
In 2001 Cecil and Evylene moved to Pryor. She was an active member of PEO in both Pawhuska and Pryor. In 2009, after the death of her beloved husband in April 2006, Evylene moved to Houston to be with her daughter and family. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed the time she was able to spend with them.
Evylene was always upbeat, never complained and was always working to spread her happiness with others. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, Cecil Ince, sisters Carline Yates and Barbara Giles, and brother T.D. Bolinger.
