John D Bowman was born in Stone County 9 Jun 1854 and died 19 May 1927, aged 72 years, 11 months and 10 days.
He was married 16 Apr 1876 to Mary Jane Mathes who preceded him in death 6 months ago. To this union were born 12 children, 7 of whom are now living, They are, James R, Joe Frank, and Riley Clinton all of Idaho; George of Washington; Fred of Cape Fair; Cora May McDowell of Fayetteville, AR; and Mrs Inez Neill of Crane, with whom he was making his home at the time of his death. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and one brother at Pennington, OK.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev Thurias Fessler. A short service was held at the home after which the body was taken to the cemetery 3 miles southeast of Hollister.

To this union were born 12 children, 7 of whom are now living, They are, James R, Joe Frank, and Riley Clinton all of Idaho; George of Washington; Fred of Cape Fair; Cora May McDowell of Fayetteville, AR; and Mrs Inez Neill of Crane, with whom he was making his home at the time of his death. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and one brother at Pennington, OK.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev Thurias Fessler. A short service was held at the home after which the body was taken to the cemetery 3 miles southeast of Hollister.
