Jerry Marvin Grover, 80, Greenfield, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, at Morristown Manor. Jerry was born on August 21, 1941, in Plymouth, IN, to Marvin and Mary Edith (Warner) Grover.

Jerry had a love for woodworking. He built his first house with little assistance from others. His additional homes were co-built. Jerry worked as a carpenter for Local Union #60 where some of his work projects were quite impressive. And as being a carpenter, his love for trees was very important. He could often be seen planting numerous tree starts. He loved shopping, antiques, playing poker, cooking and eating out, yardwork, and watching football. But above all, he loved being around his family. Christmas was his favorite holiday with cooking, getting together, and gifting.

Jerry is survived by his loving daughter, Angela Grover; son-in-law, Jeff Johnson; grandchildren: Zacheriah, Jericho, and Devin Johnson; brother, Jim Grover; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce (Lancaster) Grover; and most recently, his daughter, Theresa Johnson.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, with the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will be private.
