Adena Toadvine Earlywine, age 79, of Leer Street, Millersburg, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 18, 2007. She was the former Adena Mae Clough, born Monday, July 2, 1928, in Robertson County, Kentucky, to the late Gus Thomas and Sue Ethel Kerns Clough. She was a former seamstress and inspector for Hansley Mills, where she worked for 22 years. She was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel and was a member of Millersburg United Methodist Church. Adena will be remembered for her love of camping, spending holidays with family members, listening to music, visiting Renfro Valley and her flowers.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 34 years, Clark T. Earlywine, of Millersburg; three daughters, Judy (H.B.) Rice, of Lexington, Sandy Shannon, of Lexington, and Bonnie (Bill) Wells, of Bourbon County; a brother, George Clough, of Paris; two sisters, Robbie (Dave) Pina, of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Minnie McIntyre, of Lexington; four grandsons, John Martin, Jr. , Brian Martin, Jay Wells and Will Wells; four great-grandchildren, Brittany Martin, Isabelle Martin, Hannah Wells and Brightyn Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Adena is preceded in death by: her parents, Gus T. and Ethel Kerns Clough; and two brothers, Carr Clough and Paul Clough.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at the Millersburg United Methodist Church, with Bro. Jim Gaunce officiating. Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial was in the Millersburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the National Arthritis Foundation or her church. John Mart, Jr., Brian Martin, Jason Mitchell, H.B. Rice, William Wells, Jr., and Jay Wells served as the pallbearers. M.E. Pruitt Funeral Home, in Millersburg, was in charge of the arrangements.
