UVALDA — Services for Mrs. Beulah Partin New, 79, who died Wednesday morning in the Savannah Hospital after a short illness, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Hardens Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. Alton Wommack and Mrs. Mary Hampton will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. New was a native of Toombs County, a member of the Uvalda Church of God, and had lived in Uvalda for the past 32 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lula Mae Bradley of Savannah, Mrs. Floella Conine and Mrs. Ellen Brown, both of Uvalda; four sons, J.D. New and C.H. New, both of Savannah, Solomon New of Hazlehurst, E.H. New, Jr. of Uvalda; one brother, Dan Partin of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Hayslip and Mrs. Emma Lou Martin, both of Lyons.

Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge.
