Kenneth W. Johnston, 92

of Sixth Street, Grampian died on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

He was born on April 25, 1912 in Mt. Jewett, PA, a son of the late Allen and Mabel (Burlingame) Johnston.

Mr. Johnston was a self-employed car salesman in Grampian retiring in 1972. In addition, he was a self-employed carpenter and painter for many years.
He attended the Curry Run United Methodist Church and the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Grampian.
Mr. Johnston was a former member of the Grampian Lions Club and the Grampian Boro Council. In addition, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.

He is survived by a son
David Johnston and wife Margaret Bells Landing

two grandchildren
Kathy Ann and Scott

one great-granddaughter

and a brother and sister
Lester Johnston Camp Hill
Vivian MacDonald Emporium

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina P. (Nolan) Johnston on October 3, 2004 and whom he married in 1940 in Bells Landing Baptist Church by Rev. Cora Ardary, two brothers,
Donald and Dale Johnston and an infant sibling.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Monday at
2:00 P.M. with Rev. Emmett Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-9:00 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 6th St., Grampian.
