Friday night, April 30, died Emma, wife of C. S. Morris, after a long, lingering and painful illness. Four years Mrs. Morris has been confirmed invalid and during this time has always exhibited a quiet and cheerful disposition, surprising in one so great a sufferer. She was taken to Cambridge, Crawford Co., the place of her nativity, for interment. She leaves two bright little girls without a mother's care and counsels. (Warren Ledger, May 14, 1880)
