Funeral service for Rosalyn Nadine Thompson will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder Chapel with Charles Cook, Davis, Oklahoma officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, Oklahoma.
The family will greet friends Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022, from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.

Rosalyn Nadine Thompson, 91, of Snyder passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 in Marlow, Oklahoma. She was born May 10, 1931, in Cave City, Arkansas to Charles Ellis and Emma (Newman) Chinn. Nadine was the oldest of seven children. She began corresponding with her brother D.B. during WW II and while doing so she began to write to Robert Thompson who asked for her hand in marriage. They were married October 25, 1945 in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2002. Their first child, Judy Ann was born in Arkansas before they moved to Snyder, Oklahoma. They then traveled to New Mexico to work as farm laborers. While there they lived in row houses which had dirt floors. Nadine swept and swept the floor but never successfully cleaned it. They moved back to Snyder, where Robert worked in a granite quarry. Here more children were born, Robert Jr. (Buddy), Thomas, Elizabeth, David and John. Nadine baby sat many local children and developed a lifelong relationship with them. She never drove a car or had a driver's license but walked or hitched a ride from friends. She never had a problem going wherever she wished. She was a great cook and could always make something for the large family to eat. Cooking from scratch, not using a recipe, she could make the best meatloaf, baked beans and fried pies. She loved having a home full of family and friends to feed. She always enjoyed shopping and having her nails polished and keeping up with Tracy. Nadine had a strong personal relationship with God and was always attending church services and gospel singings. She loved the annual all-night singings at Konawa and Seminole. In her later years, she lived with Judy and the last ten years with John. She loved to talk on the telephone, even back when there was a party-line. She also enjoyed listening to country music, loved the grandchildren, the great grandbabies, family and friends. She loved to talk, never met a stranger and always worried about everyone.
Nadine is survived by her children, Judy Ann Perry of Gladewater, Texas, Robert Thompson, Jr. (Buddy) & Mary of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Thomas James Thompson & Vickie of Davis, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Scott (Liz) of Gladewater, Texas, John Mark Thompson & Tracy of Snyder, Oklahoma, 14 grandchildren, Martin Perry, Stacy Perry, Heath Thompson, David Thompson, Randal Thompson, Heather King, Brandon Thompson, Bridget Scott Jordan, Tasha Cain, Wes Scott, Bryan Scott, Travis Thompson, John Derick Thompson and Clayton Thompson. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, Samantha Mathew, Jasmine Casey, Jo, Chad, Mesa, Ashlan, Darian, Nate, Mark, Raegan, Garett, Lucy, Parker, Landon, Amity, Danica, Tate, Drew, Cavan, Grace, Gabby, Amillia, four great-great grandchildren, Carly, Axel and Jameson and Lexii, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant child David Glenn, her sister Marm, brother Bobby Chinn, three step-brothers, Kennard Chinn, D.B. Yates and Denzel Yates, a half-sister Mae Yates-Tubbs and two sons-in-law, Eddie Scott and Larry Perry.
