He was born Oct. 16, 1948, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Dennis was an Operating Engineer for 39 years for Milwaukee Public Schools, retiring in 2008. He was President of the Int'l Union of Operating Engineers #139 for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Wisconsin and served as the 2001 Master of the Lake Masonic Lodge #189 in Milwaukee. He was also a member of O.E.S. Vega Chapter. Dennis tried to live by the pledge "Do What is Right."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Evangeline Deis; siblings Harold Jr. and Patricia and brother-in-law James C. Collins.
In lieu of flowers request donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospitals.
