Katherine Kiplinger
June 26, 1921 - May 16, 2021
Tacoma, Washington - Katherine Lillian Kiplinger passed from this life on May 16, 2021 into eternal life with Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
She was born in Raymond, Washington to Adelaide and Harry Belz on June 26th, 1921. She passed away on her own terms at home in her own bed and in the company of her daughter and son in law and faithful Pomeranian Caesar.
Katherine leaves behind her daughter, Margaret Wingerter; son in law Jack Wingerter; grandchildren, Chantelle Ripley, Vincent Wingerter & his wife Jennifer Wingerter, and Joshua Wingerter. Great Grandchildren: Kaitlin Wingerter, Madison Ripley, Jack Ripley, & Alora Wingerter. Sisters Ellissa Lippert, Minnie Houser & Linda Turner, and a host of Nephews and Nieces and close friends.
Katie, as many called her, had a love for gardening, cardmaking, painting, her daily newspaper, coupons, scrabble, pastries, reading droves of books, and regaling friends and family with stories of her past even into her final days of life at one month short of 100 years of age. Clever of wit and full of candor, she was known by many for delivering Avon into her late 80's! Perhaps with the help of Oscar, the dragon in the imaginary stories of travel she so fondly created for her grandchildren, she finally joins her late husband Vincent Kiplinger whom she mourned and never stopped loving 35 years after his passing. A true matriarch of the family, she will be forever missed, but live on in our own hearts and spirit.
