Services honoring the life of Vonilla Jean Buck Princehouse will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022, in the sanctuary of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Greg Davis, senior pastor at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. A private family entombment will follow. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time, Thursday afternoon in the parlor of the church.

Jean was born June 30, 1925 in Bonita, LA and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at The Carpenter House in Shreveport, LA. She was a longtime member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. During Jean's life she was a member of P.E.O. Chapter X, United Methodist Women, Shreveport Chapter of the National Society of The Daughters of The American Revolution, Woman's Department Club, Church Women United, First Thursday Book Club, and the Leornian Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry N. Princehouse, Jr.; parents, E. J. Buck and Desda (Wardlaw) and her brother, E. J. Buck, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Henry Newton Princehouse III and wife, Gwendolyn (Smith); grandchildren, Henry N. Princehouse IV and Jennifer Lynn Princehouse, all of Plano, TX; and her brother, Bobby J. Nelson and wife, Jackie (Lowery) of Lake Charles, LA.

The family wishes to express special thanks to all the neighbors, family, friends, and caregivers who helped and loved her. Please honor Jean's wishes of no flowers and the family suggests memorials may be made to Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 3715 Youree Dr., Shreveport, LA 71105 or to the charity of choice.
