Phyllis S. Hendley, 52, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 2004) at her residence following an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County.
She was the daughter of the late Orlando and Lois Thrift Sowell.
She was a retired registered nurse from Baptist Village. She was a member of Suwannee Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy J. (Buddy) Hendley; her mother-in-law, Beatrice Cox (husband Ferrell); a niece, Tina McQuaig (husband Randy); two great-nieces, Haley and Hannah McQuaig and numerous cousins.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Suwannee Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be in Suwannee Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Music Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9.
