Mrs. Elizabeth Barfield Davis, 97, of Albany died Tuesday May 10, 2022 at the Oaks assisted living.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday 11:00AM at Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. Butch Knight will be officiating.

Born in Worth, County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of W.L. Barfield and Ruby Montgomery Barfield. She was the Pastor's secretary for 17 years at First Baptist Church of Albany until she retired. She taught Sunday School for 50 years at First Baptist Church and Byne Memorial Baptist Church focusing on young mothers. Her ministry went outside of the Church at the Anchorage where she conducted the experience in God Bible study.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela Davis Austin in 2011.

Survivors include her husband of 75 years Maxwell F. Davis of Albany; a son Al Davis and his wife Nina of Lake Blackshear; three grandchildren Emily Crowe and her husband Frank of Calhoun, GA; Judd Davis and his wife Carrie of Decatur, GA; Clayton Austin and his wife Anne Marie of Newnan, GA; seven grandchildren Katherine Elizabeth Nemechek, Lilly Crowe, Charlotte Davis, Max Davis, Jack Austin, Josh Austin and Maddie Austin; one sister Patricia Pannell and her husband Winston of Lee County; a brother Fleming Barfield and Renata of Worth County.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks assisted Living.
