Eliza married Peter Littleton Woody, Sr. on the 17th of July 1851 in Lumpkin, Georgia.
She and Peter left the area and moved to Platt County, Missouri, then west to Wabaunsee County, Kansas about 1870. At that point she had given birth to 7 children in Dahlonega, Georgia. While living in Platt City, Missouri two more children were born.
They established a home in what became Newark Township near Paxico, Kansas. The house was very unique in its design. Here their last two children were born. The family farm was large and constructed of native limestone and timber. The house sat near the top of the hill with the property dropping away to the valley below, a nice creek running next to the homestead. At the foot of the property a school was constructed which was financed by the couple for $800, an amount eventually repaid to them. Across from there was the Bethlehem Cemetery where many of the family were buried. The church was an important part of their lives and they were avid promoters of many of the community affairs.
Eliza passed away on January 8th, 1901 from the effects of pneumonia and was buried in the Bethlehem Cemetery, Paxico, Kansas.
