Mrs. Fannie May Horsewood, who was a resident of Pomona for many years until about 26 years ago, passed away last Thursday in San Bernardino after an illness. Mrs. Horsewood was born on March 8, 1880, in Kansas City, Kan., and at the age of 10 came to California with her family, who made their home in Pomona. Her father, Albert A. Beck, a Civil War veteran who was widely acquainted here, passed away in 1929. Before her illness Mrs. Horsewood was an active member of the Women's Relief Corps and the Daughters of Union Veterans. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen M. Snider of Downey and Mrs. Irene Rabun of Pomona; a son William F. Horsewood of Laramie, Wyo.; three brothers, William H. Beck of La Verne, Albert Beck of Brea and Roy A. Beck of Pomona; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Pierce Brothers mortuary, 3443 W. Manchester Boulevard, Inglewood, with Rev. Arthur Collins of Los Angeles officiating.
