Richard Peden Watson, 72, husband of Joyce Graydon Watson, of 97 Cobblestone Drive, died Thursday, June 7, 2007.
Mr. Watson was born December 13, 1934, in Fountain Inn to the late Calvin Edwin Watson and Ettie Missouri Garrett Watson. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with the City of Fountain Inn, and was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Ricky Watson and his wife Carol; a daughter, Melanie Templeton and her fiancee, Richard Bussinger; three grandchildren, Julie Robinson and her husband Jamie, Jacqueline Burns and her husband Casey, and Kimberly Templeton; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Robinson, Jerika Robinson, and Landon Burns.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Beulah Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Eddy Mattison. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
