Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Sudberry, age 78, of Hokes Bluff, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Chapel with Cecil Jarrells officiating. Burial will follow at Youngs Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sudberry passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Survivors include her sons, Lamar Sudberry (Dawn), Todd Sudberry (Kelley) and Dewayne Sudberry (Brandy); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Bonds and Tommy Bonds; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sudberry; parents, Wallace Roy and Odean Bonds; and brother, Johnny Roy Bonds.

Mrs. Sudberry had a hard work-ethic and retired from River Regional Medical Center after many years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandkids were her world. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Joe Etherton, Scott Bonds, Edward Autwell, Joseph Hale, Chris Gowens, and Chris Watson.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Riverview Regional, especially the 7th floor, and also to the staff of Piedmont Health & Rehab for the exceptional care they showed.
