Belinda Sue Compotaro, 72, of Irving, Texas passed, away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born on August 13, 1949, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Harold Rush and Helen Pauline Scott. Belinda grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, Corpus Christi, and Austin Texas. In 1966 Belinda graduated from Reagan High School in Austin. She later attended Texas Woman's University, Brooke Haven Junior College, Art Institute of Dallas, where she received the following degrees, Associates of Applied Art & Science, BFA in Ceramics, MFA in Painting. Belinda explored various other techniques, which include glass fusion, slumping and casting, as well as casting both paper and bronze. She has taught mold making, face and body casting, clay sculpture, painting and glass casting in the Denton area over the last 15 years. Belinda also sold Insurance for over 19 years, was a Teacher's Assistant at TWU, and an Artist.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Pauline (Scott) Rush.
