W. Harold Harris
STURGIS - W. Harold Harris, 74, died January 15, 1986, at the home of his daughter in rural Burr Oak.
He was born August 17, 1911, in Bronson, a son of Don M. and Mildred (Pierson) Harris.
In 1932, he married Pauline Diehm in Stroh, Indiana.
He was a Sturgis resident for the last 22 years, coming from Kalamazoo, and was a member of Local 297.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, one of Burr Oak and one of Comstock; five sons, all of Burr Oak; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Kime, Howe, Indiana; and one brother, Donald Harris, Centreville. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Homer, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 5 p.m. today at the Rosenberg-Schipper Funeral Home, Sturgis, where services are at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Landis C. Martin, South Colon Mennonite Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.
