Daughter of Frank Regas and Edith Frances (Rankin) RegasGUNNELS, ACIMA (FRANKIE) REGAS - age 84, of Knoxville, born July 20, 1927, daughter of the late Frank and Edith Rankin Regas, passed away Saturday January 21, 2012. She was a longtime member of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension. Frankie graduated from the University of Tennessee after which she was dining room manager at her family's business, Regas Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom C. Gunnels. Frankie is survived by her daughters, and son in law Susan Terrill of Kansas City, Kansas and Sandra and Jimmy Harrison of Knoxville; and by her grandchildren, Matt Terrill and Melissa Terrill of Kansas City, Lauren Harville now residing in Lake Tahoe, California and Conner Harville of Knoxville; brothers and sister-in-law, Bill Regas of Knoxville, Dr. George F. Regas and wife Mary of Pasadena, California; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Friday February 3, 2012 at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Parish Hall.
