It is highly likely that Richard Powell, his mother Parthenia and father Richard are buried together near Cedar Hill, Robertson County Tennessee.

"Professor" Richard Powell was supposedly hired by John Bell Sr. to teach in Red River Station. Powell would eventually marry Elizabeth "Betsy" Bell in Robertson County. Known for "Bell Witch" fame, many believe Powell was largely behind the supposed haunting of most of the Bell family from around 1816-1820 when John Bell died on December 20th. Powell would die in Cedar Hill area of Robertson County Tennessee though the burial locations of he and his parents remain a mystery.
