"Perry R. Adney, 62, of of 5101 N.E. 60th Terrace, died Friday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. Mr. Adney was born in Pittsburg, Kan., and had lived in the Kansas City area most of his life. He had worked 30 years for Kansas City Power & Light Co. before he retired in 1978. He was a member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Daisy Adney of the home; a son, Richard Adney of Kansas City; his mother, Mrs. Vola Hanes of Pittsburg; a brother, Royce Adney of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Dixie Rocky and Mrs. Betty Longnecker of Pittsburg; and a grandson. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery." The Kansas City Star, February 27, 1983
