Leonard's Mother passed when he was 10. He left home at 12 and never went past the 7th grade for schooling.

Married in Spokane in 1929 he had some children, but left the family for criminal adventures. He later married again and likely abandoned that spouse as well.


His life was mostly criminal in nature having committed crimes in Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California.
