Ava Irene Busdiecker, age 80 of Woodville, OH, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Genoa Care Center. She was born on May 17, 1941 in Woodville, OH to Floyd A. and Opal (Riffle) Huston. Ava would become a member of the 1959 graduating class of Woodville High School. On April 15, 1960 she married William H. Busdiecker in Monroe MI. Ava and William raised 4 children and celebrated nearly 42 years of marriage before William's passing in January of 2002.

Ava was co-owner and operator of Busdiecker & Son Plumbing, Heating and Air for 40 plus years. In her early years she attended Fremont Alliance Church and later Woodville United Methodist Church with her son. Ava enjoyed sewing and quilting and it was because of that joy she and her daughter formed the "Sew Blessed Quilt Ministry." Ava along with her daughter sewed and quilted nearly 1,000 scripture quilts which they have shared worldwide. In her other free time, she enjoyed water therapy and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

Ava is survived by her children: Robin (Dan) Hammer of Gibsonburg, William H. Busdiecker Jr. of Woodville, Frederick A. Busdiecker of MI, Paul (Alyson) Busdiecker of Elmore, 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Mary E. Hilton of TX, Ellen Grindstaff of Toledo and brother, Thomas Huston of GA. In addition to her husband William, she was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Frances Hickman, Margarite Taulker, brothers: Roy, Ray and Samuel Huston.

Ava will be laid to rest next to William at a private family committal in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville. Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Woodville United Methodist Church.
