The funeral of Mrs. Abigail Maria (Dole) Spiller, widow of William B. Spiller, was held from St, Mark's Episcopal church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Spiller died Friday morning at the home of her son, William Spiller, 130 College Avenue, aged 84 years and seven months. The cause of death was general breaking down on account of old age, but she had been confined to her bed for only a week. She was born in SL John, N. B and was a slater of the late Hon. William P. Dole, one of the owners of the SL John Globe. She had been a resident of Waterville for 20 years. She is survived by three sons, 'Mark of Oakland, S. Herbert of Lynn, Mass., and William of Waterville; two daughters. Miss Mary P, Spiller of Waterville and Mrs. J. H. Baker of Winterport, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Rev. Canon George Bruce Nicholson conducted the services. The remains were placed In the tomb at Pine Grove cemetery and will later be taken to SL John for interment beside her husband.
