She was born in 1767 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, the daughter of Thomas and Isabella Martha (Shields) Henry.
She and James Leeper III were married March 4, 1795 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Matthew Leeper; and a daughter, Jane Cartwright, all of Fayetteville.
Burial is in the family cemetery, SE of town.
