He married Emlie Montana Allen January 7, 1899 in Macon County, North Carolina. He then married Daisy Robinson May 30, 1914. The marriage resulted in the birth of two sons; Thomas V. Singleton Jr. and William W. Singleton. He died on June 3, 1924, in Hazelwood, North Carolina, at the age of 67, and was buried in Bethel Community Cemetery.
