Norma Nadine Amundson, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022. She was born on October 12, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Luther William Sharp and Sylvia Mae (Grissom) Sharp.

Norma was a house wife, who loved her family and grandchildren very much and would do anything for anyone. She was an animal lover, especially cats and birds. Norma had many bird feeders and always took great joy in watching them. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, playing cards, puzzles, sudoku, and crocheting. She was also very interested in genealogy.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Tamara Carpenter; two grandsons: Michael Piluso and his fiancé, Kelley Bailey and Scott Piluso and his fiancé, Danielle Skinner; great grandchild, Lily Whelan; and extended daughter, Sonya Shortledge Loy.

In addition to her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Amundson.

A celebration of Norma's life will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 2:00PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to, "Alzheimer's Association" or "Arthritis Foundation" and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
