Kennedy, Elbridge Craig Jr., of Richmond, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Estabrook Kennedy and Godson Mathieu Reynolds. He is survived by his close friends, Roy and Nancy Reynolds, and Chris Reynolds. Craig worked in computer systems and was always looking for a fresh challenge. When he retired he was president and CEO of Kennedy Consulting Services. He loved to travel and had been to Europe on numerous trips including Paris and river cruises. Another favorite destination for him was cruising the Caribbean. Craig was an active member of the Richmond Wine Society from the mid 1970's through 2018. Very few are as synonymous with the Richmond Wine Society as Craig had been over the years. Craig served on the RWS Board for 26 years and was President seven of those years, more than any other member. He was well known for putting on quality wine pairing events that would draw big crowds, and his annual "Top 100" wine tasting and dinner was a highlight for many years. In 2018, Craig was presented a plaque to recognize and honor his love, support, and dedication for the Richmond Wine Society and it reads: Presented to Craig Kennedy for 35+ years of dedicated service to the Richmond Wine Society, In Vino Veritas, In Vino Vitalis. (In wine there is truth, in wine there is life.) Craig's passion and knowledge of wine and support for the Richmond Wine Society will be remembered always. The family will receive friends, 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Bliley's Central with a ceremony to be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
