Augusta Louise (Byars) Wisher April 26, 1931 ~ April 27, 2022 (age 91)

Mrs. Augusta Louise Byars Wisher, 91 of 1528 W. Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, S.C., went home to be with Jesus, April 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Cherokee County, S.C. she was the loving wife of the late Lee Roy Wisher, and a daughter of the late Berl and Lunie Pennington Byars.

She was a Charter Member of Garden Temple Assembly of God and loved her Lord and family. She enjoyed reading her Bible, wordsearch puzzles and gardening.

Surviving are two daughters - Augusta L. Martin and husband, Tony, of Smyrna, S.C., and Joyce W. Gatchel and husband, Randy, of Blacksburg, S.C.; four grandchildren - Angie Robinson of Blacksburg, S.C., Travis Lee McMurray of Blacksburg, S.C., Laura Cuppy and husband, Robert, of Wilmington, N.C., and Toni Collins and husband, Darrell, of Ridgeville, S.C.; nine great-grandchildren - Ashley Clayton (Devon) , Tyler Cuppy, Christina, Merissa and Emma Martin, Joshua, Mikki and Ariel Collins and one great-great grandchild Waylon Clayton, nieces; Ann Waters and Deloris Waters and nephews; Roger Byars and Danny Byars.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two grandsons - Timmy Martin and Kevin Gatchel: 2 sisters, Sue Hatcher and Joyce Marie Byars, brother Berl Dean Byars and 2 infant brothers.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m., at White Columns.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 30, 2:00 p.m., at Garden Temple Assembly of God, with Rev. Danny Marshburn officiating. Interment will be private. At other times, they will be at the home.

Pallbearers serving are Jamie Bivens, Roger Byars, Randy Pennington, and Sam Smith and Bill Jacobs serving as an honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Agape Hospice & Pallative Care Foundation South Carolina, P.O. Box 151. Drayton, S.C. 29333
