Mary was a descendant of 1620 Mayflower Pilgrims, John Howland, Elizabeth (Tilley) Howland, John Tilley and Joan (Hurst) Tilley thru her mother, Anna Champlin Ayer. Mary Delight Ayer was never married and has no descendants. Her stone in Ayer plot in Oak Hill Cemetery is the only one that survived outside of large tombstone for Ayer, Prentice, and Corbin Families. There was a fence around lot last seen in the 1920's but has since vanished.
