Alice Faye Davis, 77, of Stewart Street, Welch, WV and formerly of Anawalt, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her home.
Born on March 10, 1944 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Millard Clay and Izettie Davis Sargent. She had been a resident of Welch for 7 years and was a member of the Leckie Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Davis; a grandson, Eddie Davis; mother in law, Mildred L. Davis; and siblings, WC Sargent, James Ray Sargent, Jacob Sargent, George Sargent and Geneva Casey.
Survivors include her sons, Billy Keesee (Jenny) of Ashland, OH, Thomas (Karen) Keesee of Statesville, NC, Mack (Kat) Davis of Welch, WV, and Jerry (Teresa) Davis of Jenkinsjones, WV; daughters, Barbara (Jo) Claus of Cropseyville, NY, Helen Keesee Coe of Roanoke, VA, and Samantha (JB) Robinette of Welch, WV; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; special sister in law, Charlene (Kenneth) Forrest; brothers, Douglas Eugene Sargent of Atlanta, GA, Roger Sargent of Mullens, WV, Freddy Breeden of Roanoke, VA, and Jamie (Wanda) Breeden of Roanoke, VA; and sisters, Phyllis White of SC, Annette Underwood of Bassett, VA, and Joan Hager of Beuna Vista, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Ministers J.B. Robinette and Samuel Prevento officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home.
