Two year old Cyntha CLANCY was found in the 1880 Carroll Co, Arkansas Mortality Schedule. Searching the 1880 Carroll Co, Arkansas Census, Collins McConley CLANCY and Susan Mary CLANCY were found living with their children in Osage Twp, Carroll Co, ARK. There is only half a page for this township. They are the only Clancy family in Carroll Co, ARK. Collins' mother was Cyntha aka Lucinda SMITH, married to George Washington aka Wash Clancy in Jackson Co, Tennessee. She was the daughter of James SMITH and Gillian MOORE SMITH of Jackson Co, Tennessee. My conclusion is that this little girl is the daughter of Collins and Susan CLANCY.

Cause of death was whooping cough. No death certificate as Arkansas DC's started in 1882. No other record could be found.

The record interestingly asked how long she had lived in the state of Arkansas and it was given as 1/12, Interpretation of that would conclude the family had only been there for one month before her death.

The attending was listed a POYNER. Her brother is named William Asbury POYNER Clancy.

Possibly she was a twin sister to William. That or they were very close together in age, the child before her was born in 1877.
