Corporal Alan A. Deutsch, 53, of Factoryville, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 9, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Holly Christine Axtell.

Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on August 18, 1968. He was the son of the late Albert and Lois Bockelkamp Deutsch.

He was a 1986 graduate of Wyoming Area High School. He was the fire chief and volunteer fireman for the Falls Fire Company prior to his career as a Corporal for the Pennsylvania State Police.

He began his career at the Swiftwater barracks, Blooming Grove, Gibson, Towanda, and finally Tunkhannock. He was ranked as a top gun expert marksman. He enjoyed growing up on the river and spending his time at the lake. In the winter time he enjoyed skiing and dragging his kids along for his Sunday drives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Alexia; sons, Alan (AJ) and Arik; brothers, Jeffrey and Douglas and wife Kelly; sister, Kara Stunzenas and husband Greg.

Family and friends are invited to attend Alan's funeral service which will be held on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at 10:00am from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc. 73 W. Tioga St. Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Reverend Dennis, Pennsylvania State Police Chaplin, presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in Abington Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Alan's name to Trooper's Helping Trooper's Foundation, 3625 Vartan Way Harrisburg, PA 17110.
