ENOREE -- R. P. Crowe, 84, husband of the late Jeanette Patterson Crowe, passed away Tuesday, February 8th, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Spartanburg County, and was a son of the late Letha Crowe Lancaster. Mr. Crowe was a lifetime member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church, a former Deacon, a member of Cavins Masonic Lodge and retired from Ramey Plant Inman Riverdale Mills.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Clithero and husband Robert of Camden, Jean Smith and husband Roy Lee Smith of Enoree; and a son, Ray Paul Crowe of Mauldin; four grandchildren, David Phillips of Columbia, Curtis Phillips of Mt. Pleasant, Mollie Elizabeth Phillips of Mt. Pleasant and Ann Clithero Smith of Fort Mill; two great-grandsons, Heyward Lang Phillips and Jamison Crowe Phillips of Columbia; brothers, Charles Edwin Lancaster of Spartanburg, Jack Lancaster of Norwood, NC, Girlie Lancaster of Chesnee; and one sister, Shirley Lancaster Smith of Enoree. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Lang Thomas Clithero; and brothers, Paul Cecil and Eugene Lancaster.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 10th, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church, with Rev. Ryan Goodroe and the Rev. Carrol Caldwell officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9th, 2005, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Woodruff.
