Donna Ann Phipps gained her Heavenly wings on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Born July 17,1961 in Corbin, Kentucky to Arthur (A.L.) and Kathleen Helton Phipps. Donna was a unique and caring daughter, sister, and mother who touched the lives to all who knew her.
Donna was a graduate of Knox Central High School and attended Union College. Her main interest was music and the music industry and enjoyed listening to all types of music. She worked in advertising and many clerical positions. She assisted her father with his music publishing company with correspondence and copyrights. Donna was very knowledgeable of the legal aspects of contracts and royalties. When her father was contacted by Warner Bros. for permission to use one of his songs, Donna negotiated the contract resulting in that musical composition being very successful.
Donna was a devoted mother to her son Cody and was very excited about the upcoming wedding to his fiancée, Amber, whom she adored. She was looking forward to watching them build a life together.
Donna Ann was preceded in death by her father, mother, infant sister Mary, brothers James, Leemon and Roman Phipps. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her son Cody his fiancée Amber, her three sisters, Truleen Morgan (Larry), Louella Hampton, and Melinda Sutherland (Terry). Her brothers, Codell (Pat), Ray (Connie), Bolin (Marsha). John Wayne, and Bill Phipps (Lois). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.
Services will be conducted at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, KY on Friday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Interment will be at the Phipps Cemetery with her beloved nephews serving as pallbearers.
