John Leake,76,Dead;
Fire Insurance Agent

Leader for Many Years in Ginter Park Church

John Marion Leake, 76,general agent of the Virginia Fire and Marine Insurance Company and for many years a leader in the activities of Ginter Park Presbyterian Church,died yesterday at 6:15 P.M. at his home 2928 Hawthorne Avenue.

Mr. Leake was the son of Dr. Leake and Fannie Minor Kear Leake of Goochland County. He lived in Ashland for many years.

Surviving are his widow,Mrs. Margaret Robertson Leake; four sons, Dr. J.Miller Leake of Gainesville,Fla.;Dr. Josiah Leake,Churchland,Va.;S. Callis Leake,Charlottesville,and Minor R. Leake,East Point,Ga.,and four grandchildren.

Leake Burial Rites
Will Be Held Today

Interment Will Be in Woodlawn Cemetery

Funeral services for J. Marion Leake,78,who died Wednesday night at his residence,2928 Hawthorne Avenue,will be held this afternoon at three o'clock from the residence. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery,Ashland.

Hi is survived ny his widow,Mrs. Margaret Robertson Leake, and four son,Dr.J. Miller Leake of Gainesville,Fla.,S. Callis Leake of Charlottesville, and Dr. Josiah Leake of Churchland,Va., and Minor R. Leake of East Point,Ga., who are all children of his first wife, Mrs. Lizzie Miller Leake.

Active pallbearers, will be the deacons of the Ginter Park Presbyterian Church and the honorary pallbearers include the following William H.Palmer Jr.,Frederick E. Nolting,W.M. Addison,Julian H. Hill,Walker Scott,B.C.Lewis Jr.,WIlliam Palmer Hill,A.F. Seldon Jr.,J.H.Baker,A.S. Buford Jr.,Dr. Thomas P. Gill and Dr. William T. Graham.
