MARVIN "M.F. or FINCH" FINCHER GARY was the son of Charles Fincher "C.F." Gary and Mrs. Elvira (Collier) Gary.

"M.F. Gary died suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Monday at his home on the Grange Hall Road. He was born on April 1, 1873 in Meridian, Mississippi. He left Mississippi while a child, coming to Texas, and make his home near Carthage. He was married to Ella Clark on July 19, 1903. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Roy Gary, Harold Gary and Joseph "J.F." Fincher Gary; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Thomas, of Gary, Texas, and Mrs. Betty Jordan, of Lufkin, Texas. He will be buried at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Carthage."

"M.F. Gary Funeral ---
Funeral services for M.F. Gary, who died at his home in Marshall, were conducted here at the Christian Church by Rev. E.L. Hughes, Tuesday morning in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in this Carthage. The deceased was a resident of Panola County for a number of years, and he has a wide connection of relatives in Marshall and at Gary."

Upon his passing, he was laid to rest on June 25, 1919 on the grounds of Odd Fellows Cemetery / Carthage City Cemetery in Panola County, Texas.

Burial arrangements managed by Rains-Herndon Funeral Home of Marshall.

Their son, Roy Gary, was the informant on the death certificate.
