He is survived by his sons, Charles Almand; Monroe, the Rev. Robert Almand, Good Hope; sister Mrs. Artelia Lowe, Monroe; brother, John Almand, California; son-in-law, James E Dobbs, Good Hope; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Born Aug. 15, 1898 in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Billy and Ossie Almand. He was married to the late Mrs. Bessie Parham Almand. He was a member of Braswell Congregational Holiness Church.
Funeral services were held March 18, 3 p.m., at Braswell Congregational Holiness Church. The Rev Roy Wellborn and the Rev. Lloyd Pearson officiated. Interment was in Braswell Cemetery.
Meadows Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
