Diane S. Hall departed this world April 18, 2022. She was born March 22, 1937 to Shelby and Marion Eliza Swain. She was blessed with 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Family, friends and her career brought her immense joy and blessings.


Diane's viewing and funeral will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106. Viewing 11:30 to 12:30 with funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m.


The family asks that flowers be sent to the mortuary and cards be sent to P.O. Box 17881, Holladay, Utah 84117.

Diane Hall, Loving Mother, Sister and Friend departed this world on April 18, 2022 at her home in Holladay, Utah after a prolonged illness. 

She was born March 22, 1937 to Shelby and Marion Eliza Swain in Vernal, Utah. This is also where she met and married her husband Bill. Diane was blessed with 8 children. 

Diane is preceded in death by her husband, 3 children, her father, mother and two siblings. She is survived by five children, twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a few great, great grandchildren. Family was a great joy and blessing to her. 

She studied at Brigham Young University in the nursing program, graduating with honors. A career she loved. Diane settled in the Salt Lake Valley, she worked for many years at the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital where she retired. Diane's love of teaching and sharing her knowledge brought her out of retirement to teach at Salt Lake Community College as a CNA instructor. She embodied kindness, compassion and understanding to all those she was around. 

Diane loved gardening-especially flowers, brisk walks, playing games, telling wonderful stories, spending time with those she loved, painting, reading, and embroidery. She loved the mountains, outdoors and she had a great imagination. She loved to lay on the grass with her children and find pictures in the clouds.
