Alice Nathalie Luettgens was born November 26, 1922, in rural Scott County, Iowa, a daughter of Gustav and Clara (Bouchaute) Luettgens. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Allen Ewoldt on December 20, 1944, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Big Rock, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2011.
