Driscilla Ann Dupre Landry passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

She was born in Franklin on June 12, 1944 and was the eldest of ten children born to Sidney and Rita Dupre. On April 16, 1961 she married the love of her life, Melvin Landry, and were blessed with five children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, daughter, and sister who enjoyed to cook and bake. But by far her greatest passion in life was her family who she deeply loved and enjoyed spending time with.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her five children, Cindy Bonvillain and her companion David C. Peltier, Melvin "Pistol" Landry Jr. and his wife Rhonda, Rodney Landry, Troy Landry and his wife Angela, and Cathy Ortego and her husband Bradley; six grandchildren, Nicole Bonvillain, Sarah Spain and her husband Gerald, Raven Landry and her husband Christopher, Matthew Landry and his wife Mindy, Beth Polidore, and Jeremy Landry; ten great grandchildren, Alivia and Alexis Bonvillain, Jazariah, J'laysiah, Ja'marian, and True Polidore, Adley and Maverick Landry, and Jahiren and Tristan Spain; four great great grandchildren, Desire Williams, and Nalani, Kamilah, and Gabriella Maryland; one sister, Diane Skipper; four brothers, Mark, Darrell, Glen, and Chad Dupre; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Melvin Landry Sr.; her parents, Sidney J. Dupre Sr. and Rita May Dupre; two brothers, Rodney A. Dupre and Skippy Dupre; two sisters, Janell Gaspard and Rosalie D. LeBlanc; and one great great grandson, De'Andre "DJ" Williams Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 12:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 9:00 AM. Following the services she will be laid to rest in Franklin Cemetery. Rev. Chad Hebert will conduct the services. Those serving as pallbearers will be Melvin Landry Jr., Troy Landry, Matthew Landry, Darrell Dupre, Jason Dupre, and Anthony Landry.
