Trissie Mallory, daughter of James W. and Essie Curtis Calhoun, was born August 20, 1913, in the Pea Ridge community, in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, August 29, 2002, in Glenwood Healthcare, in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, and nine days.
On April 8, 1933, she was united in marriage to George Calvin "Buster" Mallory, and to this union three daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buster, on August 24, 1990; and twin infant children, Billy Ray and Eula Fay Mallory.
Trissie is survived by a son, George Richard Mallory, and his wife, Faye, of Rogersville, Missouri; two daughters, Shirley Ann Young, and her husband, Jesse D., of Derby, Kansas, and Geneva Mae Morrow, of Greenfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Rick and Beverly Mallory, of Fair Grove, Missouri, Cindy Cisneros, of Horton, Kansas, Barbara and Jon Scott, of Ozark, Missouri, Carol and Terry Roos, of Chandler, Arizona, Twila and Randy Starns, of Wichita, Kansas, Regina and Joe Sabato, of Bear, Delaware, Calvin and Anita Young, of Fall River, Kansas, Jeffrey and Michelle Morrow, and Gregory and Shawn Morrow, all of Greenfield, Missouri, and Mark Allan and Julie Morrow, of Lamar, Missouri; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Amos Curtis, and his wife, Iva, of Hartville, Missouri, and Manie Calhoun, and his wife, Oka, of Mansfield, Missouri; two sisters, Mildred Mallory, and her husband, Jack, of Seymour, Missouri, and Minnie Benton, of Jerome, Idaho; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Pea Ridge community in Wright County, Missouri. After she and Buster were married, they made their home in northern Missouri and then in Iowa, before moving back to the Seymour area in 1952. Throughout her life she was a devoted and hardworking homemaker and also was an excellent quilt maker.
Trissie made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of the Seymour First Baptist Church.
She and Buster were instrumental in helping establish the Senior Citizens Center in Seymour and Trissie remained actively involved there for as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and through the years had created many beautiful quilts. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
Trissie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends will live on forever.

Services will be held Sunday September 1, 2002 at 2:30p.m. in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Chapel, Seymour, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 31, 2002 at the Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established for the Seymour Senior Citizens Center. Donations may be sent to The Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 366, Seymour, Missouri, 65746.
